OJSV "Chernihiv Fish Industry"

Open joint – stock venture (OJSV) «Chernihiv Fish Industry» is a fullsystem fish industry, including all infrastructures for farming fish. Enterprise is engaged in farming of commodity fish, fish planting material, incubation, breeding work, seeding ponds, aborigine’s fishes herd recovery (in this region), gives transportation services of living fish, and organization of paid fishing in the ponds. There is a breeding pedigree area of about 50ga on territory of Chernihiv Fish Hatchery.

Carp

Carp is a large freshwater fish. There are a few kinds of carp: Scaly Carp, Mirror Carp, Rhombic Carp and Naked Carp. The Carp’s meat has dietary properties; it is white and restorative, delicious, suitable for all types of culinary preparation.

Silver Carp

Silver Carp is a large schooling pelagic fish which lives in the freshwater ponds. There are two kinds of Silver Carp: White and Pied. Silver Carp can have a length about 2m and weights 55kg. The Silver’s Carp meat is middle fattiness, concedes to White Amur and Carp on calorie content.

White Amur

White Amur is large fish, belongs to carp family, but it has its individual properties, differs high intensity of growth. The White Amur’s meat is white, consistent, contains - 20% albumen and 2% fat, has high taste qualities.

Sturgeons are industrial fishes. The most popular kinds of sturgeons: beluga, sturgeon, bester, starlet. All sturgeons – large fishes. It is one of the most valuable kinds of fishes: meat and black caviar - real delicacies.
